1. Define your specification

Pick processing type (White, Sella, Golden Sella, or Steam), milling grade (Reasonably Well Milled, Extra Well Milled, Silky Polished), packaging size (5/10/25/50 kg), and crop year (new vs aged). Specs are detailed on the specifications page.

2. Request a quote

Submit an RFQ with destination port, quantity in 20' FCL, and incoterm (FOB or CNF). A confirmed price valid 48 hours returns within 24 business hours. Indicative FOB ranges live here.

3. Open the L/C or send T/T advance

L/C at sight is preferred for first-time orders. The L/C should reference HS 1006.30, the agreed processing type, packaging spec, and the inspection clause. T/T terms are 30% advance, 70% against scanned BL copy.

4. Production and inspection

Once payment is confirmed, milling and packing run on a 7-14 day cycle. Pre-shipment inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek is included for orders meeting 5 x 20' FCL. The inspector samples per ISO 24333, screens for moisture, broken percentage, grain length, and (where required) pesticide residue. Full inspection workflow here.

5. Shipping and documents

Standard export package: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, halal certificate. Country-specific add-ons: SASO/SFDA for Saudi, COC for Iraq, ESMA for UAE, EU MRL test report for EU and UK.

6. Destination customs

HS 1006.30 governs milled rice. The EU's basmati line 1006.30.27 carries reduced tariff treatment when accompanied by an authentic basmati certificate. Country-specific clearance notes are on each market page. For non-1121 varieties and broader Pakistan rice import logistics see the complete Pakistan rice import guide.
